Overall Review:PROS:
* Characters well developed, you can understand the depth of the love that H & h share
* Great supporting cast,
* Humor is of the chart. If you are looking for a good laugh, read this series
CONS:
Childish juvenile behavior:
* Excessive drinking to the point where they vandalize a hotel room
* Excessive drinking to the point where they get drunken tattoos and do not remember what happened
* Hero & Heroine along with supporting cast members, gets stuck in the car 5hrs, while on a camping trip, to avoid a cougar and a bear as oppose to just calling for help. Quite silly
* Heroine became annoying. Most every time Hero express deep feeling for Heroine, she either giggles or comments "did you get that from a Hallmark card" . Not very romantic on her part.

Happy Hour Racing on the Edge Book 1 edition by Shey Stahl Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Shey Stahl is an amazing author. This was my very first book written by her that read. I couldn't put it down. It hit home with me, as racing is a big part of my family life. It was an emotional read. Jameson and Sway's romance had me turning pages quickly to see where it was going. I laughed, I cried and I was mad at some points. The racing terms were awesome at the beging of each chapter. Can't wait to read more!
Anybody who likes racing will love this book and series! Could not put it down. You'll fall in love with Sway and Jameson. The story telling is so real. Shey Stahl definitely did her research. The Sprint Car world is so beautifully described and romanticized. Living in mid-Ohio we live near Attica and not far from Eldora and she has expertly captured the life of a racer and the family.
This book is a favorite!!! I've read it 3-4 times now and it never get old!! Jameson is a hot-headed who is figuring out what's really important in his life and Sway is a spitfire that is going to fight for what she wants! These two are a tornado of passion!! The Riley family is one of a kind!!! And if you're not into racing, you might be just a little by the end!! But you don't have to enjoy racing to fall in love with Jameson and Sway's story!!! I can't brag about this book enough!! Just give it a shot!!!!!
Holy mother of God, Shey.
I just finished Happy Hour & gave you a 5-star rating on GR, and tried to add my comments but couldn’t figure out how to do both so I’ll just tell you here.
First of all thank you for writing such an amazing series that’s now getting me addicted & pulling me into the world of racing.
Secondly, this book was written so well, and you can feel Jameson’s and Sway’s emotions as you read their POVs. I laughed til I about pissed on myself, cried (okay.. maybe a little), and found myself falling for their love story. I found myself wishing I was reading when I couldn’t be so I could get pulled in deeper, like a moth to a flame. This is one hell of a series.
Now, ladies, if you’ll excuse me, I’m on to start book #2. 🖤
This series is phenomenal. Never have I had the desire to right a book review until now. The character development in this series is superb. I feel like I could go to any dirt track and identify the members of the Riley family. The emotions the series provoked was like being on a Rollercoaster. I laughed, flinched, gasped and cried. Weather you're a fan of racing or not you will be shown the flip side to racing that is not seen on Sunday TV. I learned so much in regards to racing terms and track conditions that I'm able to relate in more understanding to my daughter that has raced mini sprints, Outlaw class, for years. I also got a secret thrill to the mention of the Chilli Bowl that is held just down the turnpike from us. You can enjoy each book as a stand alone, but if you choose to read the series, the devotion, love, character building of the Riley family starts with this first book. I highly recommend it and plan to read them all again. I can't wait to see what else Shey Stahl has on the horizon!
This isn't my first time reading the series, but it's the first time of actually taking the time to review. This book is full of everything that you could possibly want in a series. The love between the two main characters is paramount to the entire story. They have their ups and downs like any other couple, the steam is off the charts, and the humor is quick witted and pee your pants funny. That's pretty much what this book entails with some sadness. 5 stars #2OCCJD
Before I read this book, I'd never read a NASCAR book. Heck, I've never even been a racing fan at all. After this book, however, sign me up for all the races! If only these characters were real! Sigh. Jameson and Sway are easily one of my top ten book couples of all. Their chemistry is undeniable. And the humor, the humor in this book is like no other romance book I've read! I laughed so hard my side hurt. This book had everything I could ever hope for--a swoon-worthy hero, a beautiful love story, humor, supporting characters I actually cared about that added to the story and didn't seem just thrown in, suspense.
I highly recommend this book and told at least five friends to read it. There are several more in this series that follow.
